John, climate scientists are sounding the alarm after a sudden and drastic shift in sea ice coverage surrounding Antarctica.
It’s winter in the Southern Hemisphere, and in this span of months where researchers typically see the most sea ice growth, they observed nearly a million square miles less ice coverage than the expected average.

A lack of sea ice doesn’t just mean higher ocean levels. It means entire coastal communities underwater. It means a completely imbalanced aquatic food chain. It means our planet will eventually get too hot to regulate its own internal cooling system — and we’ll be experiencing summers even hotter than this past one.
John, we already know the actions we need to take to avoid this worse-than-worst case scenario. We need to slash our carbon emissions, widely implement renewable energy systems across the globe, and keep climate deniers like the ones we saw on the RNC’s debate stage out of our nation’s halls of power.
That’s why we’re fighting to ensure our SEEC Members have the support they need to protect their seats, defeat their anti-climate opponents, and recruit more representatives to join our climate coalition. Will you make a donation of before our end-of-month deadline this Thursday so we can reverse these trends before our climate is pushed past the point of no return? [[link removed]]
