Ted Cruz predicts Trump will be convicted, chastises GOP rivals for not promising a pardon
Hi, it’s Roland Gutierrez, the Democratic TX State Senator running for U.S. Senate against Ted Cruz.
My opponent watched the GOP debate last week. And despite all the crazy things that were said, he thinks the contenders didn’t go far enough in their praise for Trump.
“The answer should have been ‘absolutely, I will pardon Donald Trump on Jan. 20, 2025.’” —Ted Cruz
He went on to say that Trump is only being indicted because Democrats are afraid he could win in November. “I think it’s absolutely outrageous,” Cruz said on his podcast.
Look, Trump is guilty of numerous crimes, and Cruz is obsessed with sucking up to him and his MAGA base. He must be held accountable at the ballot box.
I’ll send him packing. But I need your help. Will you pitch in $25 or more to help us reach our end-of-month fundraising goal right now?

Like many of you, Ted Cruz watched the GOP presidential debate last week.
Shockingly (but not surprisingly), his main takeaway was that the candidates were too tough on Trump, and that he was disappointed they didn’t promise to pardon him if one of them became president.
“The answer should have been ‘absolutely, I will pardon Donald Trump on Jan. 20, 2025.’” —Ted Cruz
We’ve known for years now that Cruz is a Trump bootlicker and obsessed sucking up to the former president’s MAGA base. But this is a new low.
The people of Texas deserve someone who represents their interests, not Trump’s. That’s why we support Roland Gutierrez, the Texas State Senator running to unseat Ted Cruz.
We’ve set a goal of raising $25,000 before our end-of-month deadline on August 31st. Will you pitch in $25 or more to help us reach it?

Ted Cruz supports Trump even though he called his father a communist and insulted his wife. It’s pathetic.
Let’s send him packing,
Team Roland for Texas
