Last week we asked for support to help fund voter outreach and investigate more tips about Lauren Boebert’s shady past, and wow — let’s just say y’all are eager to see Boebert get what she deserves!

However, shortly after we emailed about our political work to make sure Boebert does not win another term in Congress, we got word from the lawyers handling our defamation lawsuit that Boebert’s conservative legal team responded with a cynical motion to dismiss the suit before we even go to trial. The filing was riddled with factual inaccuracies, full of specious legal arguments, and omitted key points in an effort to shield Boebert from the discovery phase of our suit.

The clock is now ticking, and our first showdown with Lauren Boebert is set for mid-September.

Lauren Boebert will learn, one way or another, that she cannot defy gravity: if she keeps up her reckless disregard for truth, there will be political and legal consequences.

Holding Boebert accountable will require a full-court press — from pursuing valid legal claims like we’re doing right now, to reaching out to voters across Colorado’s Third District to keep building the coalition that will defeat her next year. We wouldn’t be asking you so frequently if it weren’t truly important, but can you please support our strategic work to unseat one of the most hateful people serving in Congress, Lauren Boebert, by making a contribution of $10 or more to American Muckrakers?
