I spoke with Cenk Uygur from The Young Turks about our campaign and the movement we’re creating to take big money out of politics. We had a great conversation about the state of politics in this country today.
The establishment has failed us.
Have you ever wondered why nothing seems to get done in Congress? Candidates and career politicians make bold promises for reform but hop directly in line with the establishment upon getting elected. Follow the money. Our representatives have been bought and paid for by big lobbyists and special interest groups. The gun lobby, the healthcare lobby, the oil lobby, and so many more are ruining our democracy and compromising our public servants. It’s time for real change and innovative progress.
I refuse to be bought. I’m not taking a penny of special interest or lobbyist dollars because I want this movement to mean something. The progress we’re fighting for is powerful and inevitable.
