Trust me, folks: Fundraising definitely isn’t my favorite part of this job.

In fact, sometimes I just have to close my eyes and imagine a world where public service doesn't require competing with a bottomless pit of right-wing cash.

But this is the real world, for better or for worse. I may not like it, but winning elections and breaking the far right’s dangerous stranglehold on our politics isn’t cheap.

So, if we’re going to resume our progress on clean energy, choice, healthcare, gun reform, and more, we’d better play to win.

In two days, we’ll face our very first End-of-Month deadline since the first Republican jumped into this race. Reaching our $12,000 August goal is a key step toward defending this district and restoring a Democratic House majority.

So, at the risk of sounding a bit like a broken record, I have to ask: Will you pitch in $25 to push us across the finish line?
