🏆 Tynedale and Ponteland Community Champions

I regularly award community champion awards to those who make our communities a better place to live.

Recently, our community champions included June Atkinson, a primary school governor, fundraiser and volunteer who organised a community collection at St Mary's Parish Church in Ponteland for the Ukrainian people.

They also included Ryan and David who spread awareness about hidden disabilities through presentations across our community. They are always looking to pop into local charities, businesses and schools to raise awareness. If you would like them to visit, please get in touch with my office at [email protected]

🌳 Bellingham Show and rural issues

I was delighted to attend Belligham Show on Saturday. As always, it was a great event highlighting the best of our rural communities.

I spoke to local businesses about how we can support them and provide jobs for local people in rural areas of Tynedale and Ponteland.

Out and about in Hexham, Prudhoe, Corbridge and Ponteland

This week, I have been out and about across Hexham, Prudhoe, Corbridge, Ponteland and Bellingham, knocking doors and speaking to residents and local businesses.

A number of issues came up on the doorstep, from securing more money for local schools with our fairer funding campaign and fighting anti-social behaviour with Northumbria Police's 705 new officers.
