A white man wearing a mask and carrying a gun emblazoned with a swastika killed three Black people in a Jacksonville, Florida, Dollar General in a racist, hate-based crime on Saturday. He then turned the gun on himself.

'Major' Hurricane Idalia approaches Florida

Tropical Storm Idalia is forecast to become a major Category 3 hurricane before it makes landfall in Florida on Tuesday. The storm hit Cuba on Monday evening before moving through the Gulf of Mexico, where it gained strength.
