Dear John,

I’m writing to reach out and connect with you, as well as share some things about upcoming events. I’m hoping to start a conversation on how we do things around here at Atlas Network; that’s not a one-way street either, I want to hear from you too!

I love what I do here at Atlas Network. I actually started here as an intern in 2018, and this has become an amazing career. Today, I’m Associate Director of Development, and one of the best things about my job is that I get to work to make the world a little smaller, and bridge the gap between our partners and people like you.

Sure—our work helps support some of the best liberty organizations in the world, which is super rewarding, but that’s only part of my job. It’s also my job to build a community between the people who support our work and the people on the ground who do that work— our partners. I normally do that by helping with events, and in November, we’re holding Atlas Network’s biggest event of the year: our Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner.

Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner is like the SEC Championship, the Super Bowl and all the other big games you can think of rolled into one. It’s a time when people who love freedom in the U.S. get to meet amazing Atlas Network partners in person, who are working for freedom from all around the world. That’s a big deal!

If you’ve never attended Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner, you just have to experience it for yourself. It’s like for two very special days, freedom-loving people of the world join together in New York City to share their experiences and build a stronger and more inspired movement. There’s so much that happens during Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner that I don’t think I can do it justice in just one message. So, as we count down to this year’s event in November, I’m going to be sharing more reasons why you’re going to want to celebrate with us.

Like I said, Liberty Forum is two days long and gives you a chance to mix and mingle with old friends, and meet new ones from every corner of the globe. There’s something really beautiful about the fact that everyone is there for the same reason you are: they want their communities to be free and have access to prosperity. A lot of the people who attend work at think tanks, but the people you’ll meet at Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner are so much more than issue experts. They are leaders, activists, and idea entrepreneurs who seek every strategic opportunity in the pursuit of liberty.

After two days of learning and visiting, the second day of Liberty Forum gives way to Freedom Dinner. It not only celebrates the successes of the past year but also serves to inspire action for the future. If it’s your first one, witnessing the energy and enthusiasm in the room is an amazing thing to experience, and only motivates you to do more for the cause of freedom when the fun is over.

Apart from the discussions and networking, Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner offer the chance to explore real examples of the impact that Atlas Network partners are having. You can see tangible solutions that have lifted people out of poverty with growth instead of government, and create the chance for people to pursue happiness even in some of the most difficult places in the world.

But the #1 reason I love Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner is that I get to be part of the team that creates such an unforgettable experience for our partners who are working for freedom in their countries and so often feel alone in what they do. Honestly, in the United States, we take many of our freedoms for granted. We have so many opportunities to attend conferences that encourage collaboration and free thought, but for some of our partners, Liberty Forum may be their ONLY opportunity. I'm incredibly grateful to be a part of this unique community that is so supportive of each other and It's extremely humbling to know that whatever role I play at Atlas Network, however small, is having an impact on someone's life. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that?

I’m not used to writing to you like this, so this is new for me. I’d love to hear what you think, even if you aren’t sure yet about attending Liberty Forum & Freedom Dinner in November.

Until next time!

Peace and blessings,
Kam
