I was contacted recently by a young woman, Claire, who had been through an abortion. She felt that her story wasn’t treated seriously by the ‘social care’ services, so she approached us.

The medic she talked to didn’t even consider that she may want to continue with the pregnancy. She felt everyone was pushing her in one direction.

Unfortunately, her experience is not unique. Thousands of women are faced with similar situations and are left without the information they need, and without a way out. State-backed agencies refuse to acknowledge the devastating after-effects for some women or the reality of abortion regret.

But there's hope. With your support, we can increase pressure and demand changes to ensure women are offered information about alternatives and the supports that are available, prior to an abortion taking place.
