For the third consecutive year, Trump has proposed slashing all federal support for the arts and humanities, including to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. They help support a range of arts programming, including NPR and PBS. Sesame Street and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood would not have gotten off the ground without this support.
But for Trump, helping our children learn and grow isn’t as important as increasing funding for ICE and Border Patrol, ballooning the defense budget, and extending tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans and corporations.
