In a year where challenges often test our resolve, Equality Federation’s Leadership Conference (held in July in Denver, CO) emerged as a shining beacon of "Joy." Amidst the backdrop of adversity, we united, celebrated, and forged connections with friends and partners that will shape the future of LGBTQ+ advocacy.
Embracing Joy Amidst Trials:
2023 was marked by unprecedented anti-LGBTQ+ bills, but our theme of "Joy" was a powerful reminder of our strength. We proved that we contain multitudes, capable of holding joy alongside grief and anger while nurturing a stronger commitment to progress.

Diverse Voices, Unified Purpose:
This year's gathering, our largest ever with 335 attendees, brought together an incredible mosaic of voices. We united LGBTQ+ state partners, national LGBTQ+ organization leaders, advocates for reproductive and racial justice, HIV activists, gun safety champions, and representatives from various sectors, including banking, healthcare, government, technology, and more. The connections we made and the strategies we discussed are building blocks for lasting change.
