The Latest State to Ban the Crates: New Jersey! [[link removed]]
On factory farms, gestation crates trap female pigs used for breeding in tiny metal cages barely larger than their bodies. These crates are cruel and cause immense physical and psychological harm—and New Jersey has joined the list of states that agree!
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed a new bill into law banning the use of crates for mother pigs and also baby cows exploited for veal. New Jersey is the ninth state to get on board for a better future for farmed animals.

Don’t Let Travel Derail Your Plant-Based Goals [[link removed]]
Summer isn’t over yet! As you’re planning any last-minute getaways, remember that eating plant-based doesn’t have to be left at home.
Before your trip, research plant-based options at your travel destination and tuck a few restaurants in your back pocket for when you arrive. Dive into the local cuisine, which likely features many plant-based traditional dishes already. Online groups and reviews can be super helpful, too, when looking into meal options.
Once you’re back, don’t forget to check out our Meating Halfway guide [[link removed]] for some fresh inspiration!

Take a Walk on the Wild Side [[link removed]]
[[link removed]]
From now until August 31, you have the chance to make a difference in the lives of animals every month by joining the Wild Side. A monthly gift is all it takes to help feed rescued elephants who were forced to perform, free bears who have been trapped in cages for 25 years, and rehabilitate anteaters who lost their homes (and mothers) from forest fires. Plus, when you join by our deadline, our generous donor will match your first monthly gift with $100 ! We are so close to our goal, and all that is missing is YOU!
