Friend, Thank you for the honor of serving you in the U.S. House of Representatives. These first 14 months in office have been monumental in many ways. As promised, I have voted as a conservative and partnered with President Trump and like-minded congressional colleagues to keep moving America in the right direction. I was a strong and outspoken opponent of the Democrat’s partisan and divisive impeachment of President Trump. It was my honor and duty to vote against both Articles of Impeachment. The President’s policies and our shared conservative solutions are truly Making America Great Again. We are rebuilding our military, projecting U.S. values around the world and working hard to secure America’s borders. Thanks to Republican policies to limit regulations, reform the tax code and achieve U.S. energy independence, our economy is robust, with record low unemployment. We are also implementing new trade agreements, like USMCA, and other measures to sustain our farmers, agri-businesses and rural way of life. Finally, I stand with you and have voted on all occasions to defend the Right to Life, our 2nd Amendment, and the right to religious freedom. The Democrats, from their candidates for president and down the ballot, offer socialist and other far-left policies that will undermine our achievements and destroy our Republic, as envisioned by America’s Founders. Once again, our opponent is Dan Feehan. Feehan is a radical resistance Democrat who supported President Trump’s impeachment and removal from office. Feehan is a Pelosi-Obama foot soldier who stands for an array of disastrous left wing notions, including: gutting our defense, open borders, government-run medical care, extremist environmentalist regulations and taxes, abortion in the 7th, 8th and 9th month and gun confiscation. In 2018, we defeated Feehan and took back a Democrat House seat. Along with my friend, Rep. Pete Stauber of Minnesota’s 8th District, we were the only Republicans in the country to turn a Blue seat Red. Needless to say, we over-performed. And, together, we will win again in 2020 and help our GOP take back the U.S. House. Lastly, as many of you know, over this past year I have been both serving in Congress and battling advanced kidney cancer. Thank you for your prayers, support and encouragement! I’m happy to report that I’m feeling great, my doctor says the immunotherapy treatments are working well, and this entire time I have been working hard and unimpeded, both in D.C. and across southern Minnesota. I'm looking forward to this campaign and our re-election in 2020! Please rest assured that I continue to fight on all fronts. This is going to be a great election for our party, state and nation. It’s an honor to wage this battle, side-by-side, with you. Let’s go out and win this election!
