This year has been off to a fantastic start. Between the work Anthony has been putting in around the district, in Congress, and on the campaign trail, 2020 is shaping up to be another year of results for the hardworking families of Upstate New York.

Around the district

Anthony continued his commitment to being accessible and accountable to Upstate New Yorkers this month by hosting another town hall in Oneida County. More than 80 constituents turned out to learn more about how Anthony is finding solutions to some of our community’s biggest challenges -- including prescription drug prices, infrastructure, and student loan debt.

Veterans’ issues remains another top focus for Anthony: He hosted a veterans resource fair to connect those who served our country with VA benefits, employment tools, and information on education. Last week, Anthony delivered 2,000 Valentine’s Day cards made by students all across the district to local veterans.

In Congress

Social media is a bigger part of our lives than ever before, which means we must find new ways to hold media giants accountable and keep our online communities safe. Anthony met with representatives from platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit to outline the ways social media companies can protect citizens from online dangers.

And it’s not just our online communities that Anthony is making safer -- he’s also working to make our entire country safer by passing legislation to combat human and drug trafficking. The bipartisan bill would provide more tools and resources to law enforcement and strengthen our trade economy.

On the campaign trail

Anthony just kicked off his re-election campaign, and we were so excited to see that the momentum that carried us to victory in 2018 is still alive! Folks across the district helped us head into this ultra-competitive race with the energy we’ll need to win in November.
