Friend,By now, you’ve probably seen clips from the first GOP debate last Wednesday. A lot of questionable statements were made, but one thing stood out to me:

When the moderator asked the eight candidates if they believed humans were causing climate change, just one agreed.

Instead, most folks went on with their scripted talking points, calling it a “hoax” and dubbing climate action a “wet blanket on our economy.” 🙄

Yep, here we are again in 2023 rehashing the science behind climate change. And if the record breaking global temperatures and constant extreme weather haven’t made it clear: emissions from greenhouse gasses DO in fact warm the planet, which is causing climate change.

In congress I’m working to address the climate emergency and using my background as a meteorologist to communicate with the public and my friends across the aisle. Because the path of inaction that many of our leaders want to put us down is not a solution, it's a setback to all the progress we’ve made so far.

I'm fighting to end the climate crisis to give our children a livable world. Help me take on climate deniers in Washington by chipping in a donation to my campaign today. [[link removed]]
