The article highlights the impactful work we are doing to fight against mass incarceration, support youth, and aid the reintegration of individuals returning from prison. It is an honor to see our mission recognized by such a prominent platform. 

The NBA's recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in our organization. This acknowledgment not only validates our commitment to creating a more just future but also amplifies our message to a wider audience. 

Highlighting our efforts, one excerpt in the article states,  

“ARC is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. As it marks this milestone, the organization has begun to expand beyond California to work on a national level. That expansion has included a series of "Play for Justice" events, held in collaboration with Represent Justice and the NBA, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings, Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers.  

These gatherings bring people who have been or are incarcerated together with NBA players, allowing for both intimate conversation and the chance to face off on the court.” 

One such event brought together eight young people who had been incarcerated as juveniles with members of the Boston Celtics. This gathering fostered empathy, understanding, and dialogue about their experiences within the criminal legal system.
The compassion displayed by the Celtics left a profound impact on the young participants, leading them to describe the event as life-changing.
