The road to the majority in the House runs right through New York’s 17th Congressional District and we need to make sure we have the strongest candidate to take on Mike Lawler. But don’t just take our word for it, Rep. Lawler said it himself: “Look, I’d be happy to run against either. But Mondaire Jones certainly has a very long and detailed record that shows him clearly out of step.”
Team Liz knows that the number one goal is to make Mike Lawler a one term Congressman. The issues we face right now are too urgent to allow him to remain in this critical seat, as a consistent vote for Kevin McCarthy and the out of touch, harmful Republican agenda.
