Oh how time flies,
John.

August is already wrapping up, and our team has been checking our
fundraising numbers to ensure that we’re on the right track to reach our
goal.

But this month, we’ve seen a slow down in our fundraising and we really
want to make sure we can keep pace with our campaign’s goals. That’s why
we’re rounding out August by kicking off our end-of-month fundraising to
help us reach our $12,000 goal before Wednesday night.

A summer slow-down in fundraising is quite common for campaigns like ours.
As people are out enjoying the summer weather, spending time with family
and friends, and more — they’re not looking to their inboxes for emails
like this one.

That’s why we have to rely on our most dedicated supporters to help us
maintain our momentum and continue pushing us towards success.

Pramila’s work has not slowed down during the summer, and our crises and
issues are still very real. That means, we need to make sure our funds can
continue supporting Pramila while she fights for us in Congress, and
strengthen our momentum, even through a summer slump.
