John —

Last week, the Arizona Supreme Court agreed to reconsider an 1864 abortion ban still on the books that orders abortion providers to be imprisoned.

Anti-abortion extremists in Arizona have been pushing for this archaic law to come back into effect since the downfall of Roe last summer. Now, they’re closer than they ever have been before.

It’s absurd to think that a law enacted before Arizona was even a state could still be valid today — but those are the kinds of tricks that Republicans have to play when states (like Arizona) have a Democratic governor in charge, because they know that any new abortion restrictions will be immediately vetoed.

This is why we say that every election matters. We need reproductive rights champions in every office around the country to protect our rights. Period.

We have an end-of-month deadline coming up on Thursday, and our team is hoping to bring in another 1,000 contributions to support unapologetically pro-choice women running for office. Can I count on you to pitch in a donation of any amount today to help us get there? [[link removed]]
