John,
I know many believe politicians are only in office to fill their pockets, serving themselves while forgetting about the people who elected them. I ran to rid Washington of this perception of corruption, and to bring a voice of reason and fairness to Congress. My mission is to deliver results for the people of Virginia.
I spend much of my time writing, cosponsoring, and advocating for legislation that will better the lives of Virginians. Whether it be allowing families to sit together on planes without additional fees or advocating for women’s reproductive rights, I remain focused on improving life for the people I represent.
But, sometimes, I am called not just to deliver results, but to better the system itself. All elected officials should serve their constituents first and foremost, not be working to line their pockets. That’s why I introduced a bill to ban Members of Congress and their spouses from trading stocks, and it’s a measure that 86% of all Americans support.
If you support my efforts to both deliver for Virginians and ensure our representatives represent the people’s interests, I hope you will contribute to my campaign today so I can continue this advocacy.
