In this position, you will step into the dynamic role of Deputy Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Budget Director and shape the financial landscape of our agency. Collaborating directly with our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and agency leadership, you will play a pivotal part in crafting a robust financial management strategy. You will have the opportunity to showcase your strong leadership skills by empowering and guiding your team, advocating for their growth, and making objective decisions that champion our agency's mission. Your exceptional communication skills will shine as you translate complex financial information into a format that can be easily understood by executive leaders.  In this role, you will use your creative mindset and problem-solving skills to navigate the intricacies of government work while driving innovation.
 
Your role is to be a relationship builder and liaison to the division and agency. Your ability to creatively and strategically address challenges, while maintaining sight of the big picture is critical to the success of this position. Your ability to lead by example, embrace innovation, and provide the air cover your team needs will guide them to excellence. Your insights will refine budget processes and procedures, , align financial strategies to ensure consistency across the agency and contribute to the agency vision to *"deliver seamless government solutions that improve the lives of every Washingtonian."*
