I was born and raised in Colorado. I came from a working-class family that faced a LOT of challenges. And I paid my own way through college by working more jobs than I count: cleaning houses when I was 12 years old, working behind the counter at a bagel shop, pushing carts at a grocery store, and waiting tables at restaurant after restaurant.

But in many ways, I was lucky. I had access to great public schools and teachers that supported me. Because of the investments this community made in me, I was given a chance to earn a good life. I became the first in my family to graduate from both high school and college.

Now, I’m in Congress to ensure Coloradans have the same opportunities to succeed that I did. But far too many of these opportunities have only become further out of reach for hard-working families.

Since day one in Congress, I’ve fought to put Colorado families first. Can you chip in before our end-of-month fundraising deadline in three days to help my team and me reach voters throughout CO-07 and continue delivering results?

This campaign for Congress is different. When I talk about bringing back the opportunities that I had to Colorado, I want you to know that’s not just talk.

During my time as a State Legislator, I fought to expand early childhood education and make kindergarten free, to lower the cost of health insurance and prescription drugs to help families struggling with the opioid epidemic, and to guarantee a woman’s right to choose.

But there’s a lot more work to be done in Washington – and we can’t risk letting the far-right flip this blue seat.
