Tomorrow night, Tuesday, August 29th at 7pm -- the AYD E-Board will be hosting our monthly happy hour at Highline RxR in Crystal City. We hope to see you there!
As we shift into campaign season, we have two canvasses coming up. This Saturday, September 2nd, we're headed to Loudoun County, and next Saturday, September 9th, we'll be at Prince William County. If you're interested in joining us this Saturday, please sign up by this Wednesday, August 30th!
One final thing, we will be at the ArlDems Chili Cook-off on Monday Labor Day, September 4th. And AYD will be represented by yours truly. Our chili is called Young, Hot & Unbothered and we're in it to win it. The Joint Campaign Committee is also looking for a few volunteers to help run the event, and if you're interested in volunteering - you can sign up here. Perks of volunteering include getting free admission to this ArlDems Gold Card event! Spots are limited so sign up quick.

This is a great opportunity to talk to the current E-Board, find out what each position does, and see if there are any positions that you might want to run for in the future. AYD Canvass: Russett Perry, Rob Banse, & VA Dems
Join us for our first AYD Canvass of the 2023 general campaign season! On Saturday, September 2nd, we'll be heading out to Loudoun County to support Russet Perry (SD 31) and Rob Banse (HD 30) and the rest of the VA Dems down the ballot. We’ll meet up at 9:00am to carpool out by 9:15am in order to arrive in Loudoun County, VA to canvass from 10am-1pm. We should arrive back in Arlington around 2pm-3pm. Meet-up location will be provided upon sign up via email, so please keep an eye on your inbox!

Please be prepared to walk around for a while (think: athletic clothing, tennis shoes, sunglasses, baseball cap/visor), and keep an eye on the forecast. We recommend while canvassing that you wear sunscreen, bring water and snacks, and come with a fully charged phone as we will be using a mobile app to canvass.
