John,
Last week marked 31 years since the founding of the Innocence Project. While we’ve accomplished so much with this team and community of advocates, it was in our second decade of work that the organization really took off.
From becoming an independent non-profit organization, to forming our social work team in order to provide our clients with holistic support, to expanding the scope of our work by creating the Innocence Network — this is the decade that transformed our once small legal clinic into a nationally recognized organization in the fight to transform our legal system. Check out some of the highlights from this time period, and make a donation to continue funding the expansion of our work for years to come.
The 2000s ushered in a new era for the Innocence Project, launching the entire innocence movement into a national, unified force for change. As we take a look at all of the amazing work we’ve done together over the years, it’s important to remember that while we’ve made a lot of progress, there’s still so much work to be done to build a truly just and fair legal system.
With that in mind, and in honor of the Innocence Project’s 31st birthday, please make a donation right now and let’s continue building the innocence movement together.
Thank you so much for your support,
— The Innocence Project Team
