When I ran for the Senate, I knew what it would mean to become the first openly gay Senator in our nation's history.

I understood that this would be an extraordinary opportunity to make a difference in people's lives — and that’s what I’ve been hard at work doing every day since. But, despite all of the hardfought progress my Democratic colleagues and I have made, attacks on LGBTQ+ rights are rampant across the country.

Extremist Republicans are working overtime to institute a wave of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation. The 2023 legislative session has already seen more than 650 bills designed to roll back LGBTQ+ rights, particularly targeting transgender youth.

Amidst these unrelenting attacks, I refuse to be discouraged.

I first ran for public office to make a difference in people’s lives, and I won’t let anti-LGTBQ+ Republicans turn back the clock. If you’re with me, I hope I can count on you to add a small donation toward our fight today.

Will you help me keep up the fight in the Senate by splitting a donation of any amount between my campaign and Ben Ray Luján ahead of our August fundraising deadline? We can’t let extreme Republicans take back the majority and roll back our rights and freedoms.
