Dear John,

Climate Justice Alliance’s Story Snapshots Project [3]is live! Through
art, culture and community we take a deep dive into what climate justice
looks, feels and sounds like to everyday people making Just Transition real
on the ground.

Over the next few months, we’ll be releasing Story Snapshots from the
first cohort of creatives including the Indigenous Environmental Network
(global), Micronesia Climate Change Alliance (Guam), Southwest Organizing
Project (Albuquerque, NM), and GreenRoots (Boston, MA).

[4]

TODAY, WE ARE EXCITED TO SHARE our first snapshot [4], CREATED BY THE
INDIGENOUS ENVIRONMENTAL NETWORK (IEN). Through a series of original
drawings, Lakota artist Arlo Iron Cloud brings Indigenous Just Transitions
to life on the page, depicting unique visions from six Native communities
through original drawings created in real time with the storytellers from
each community. _ _

FOR AN IN-DEPTH CONVERSATION ON THIS AND MORE, LISTEN TO EPISODE 2 OF OUR
PODCAST SERIES, _STORIES FROM HOME: LIVING THE JUST TRANSITION_ [5]. In
this episode, we speak with Jennifer Falcon from IEN for a behind the
scenes look at the creation and impetus behind their snapshot. I also
encourage you to listen to our 1st episode [6], released last week, which
gives an overview of the full series.

Across landscapes and languages, Story Snapshots express the often
overlooked but extremely valuable climate justice work of everyday people
as they decolonize through cooking, painting future visions on the page,
building family, taking back food systems and more. IF YOU APPRECIATE THIS
FIRST SNAPSHOT, PLEASE TAKE A MINUTE TO SHARE IT [7]WITH YOUR FRIENDS,
FAMILY AND NETWORKS.

I hope you enjoy the journey.
