From the moment we launched this campaign back in January, we knew we’d have to do everything right to win — because this race was always going to be a toss-up. That’s why we’ve prioritized making significant investments in our success. Most recently, we’ve hired senior-level staff whose expertise in key areas is critical to running a strong campaign. Expanding our team was only possible because of the outpouring of support we’ve seen from folks like you.

As we get closer to 2024, our expenses will only grow. Our biggest costs will be associated with voter outreach because — in a race this close — just a handful of votes could make the difference.

We need to meet NC voters wherever they are, whether that’s on their phones or computers or at their front doors. We plan to put up ads on TV and online, send direct mail pieces, and launch an aggressive ground campaign to get out the vote. Our fundraising success now determines how much voter outreach we can execute later.

John, I can never express just how grateful I am to have you with me in this critical race. You know that the stakes are high and that, right now, we’re too close for comfort.
