Just a quick email to get you up-to-date on our improvements to our texting system.
Here are some quick facts:
Each location has its own text service now. This way, Tarrant County patriots don't have to receive texts about a meeting in Lubbock, for example.
Texting is one of the most expensive ways for us to communicate with you, but it's also, hands-down, the most effective way.
The average True Texan is on FOUR of our text lists.
That being said, we want you to get the info you need, but we also want to be responsible with it. Please only sign up for texts from locations that you actually attend. That's perfectly fine if you attend two nearby locations and want to be on both lists. But if that's not the case and you don't need to be on multiple lists, please unsubscribe.
To Subscribe: go to our website to find the lists you want to be on; then send a text to the number provided using the given text word.
To Unsubscribe: reply "STOP" to any text you receive that is for an area you don't need.
Important!
During September, we'll send a text message out the day before each of our 18 satellite meetings. Each text will state at the bottom which location the text is intended for. If this is not a location you regularly attend, please reply "STOP". Sometimes we have multiple meetings in one day, and those texts had all gone out at the same time. It would have been impossible to unsubscribe to the correct one. For September and going forward, however, we are going to space them at least 15 minutes apart so you can unsubscribe to one text before the next text arrives.
Remember, texts are used for two reasons. First, they are a last minute reminder of information we already provided to you via email, meeting announcements, and social media. Second, they are an easy way for you to share news with a friend by simply forwarding the text.

Just a quick email to get you up-to-date on our improvements to our texting system.
Here are some quick facts:
Each location has its own text service now. This way, Tarrant County patriots don't have to receive texts about a meeting in Lubbock, for example.
Texting is one of the most expensive ways for us to communicate with you, but it's also, hands-down, the most effective way.
The average True Texan is on FOUR of our text lists.
That being said, we want you to get the info you need, but we also want to be responsible with it. Please only sign up for texts from locations that you actually attend. That's perfectly fine if you attend two nearby locations and want to be on both lists. But if that's not the case and you don't need to be on multiple lists, please unsubscribe.
To Subscribe: go to our website to find the lists you want to be on; then send a text to the number provided using the given text word.
To Unsubscribe: reply "STOP" to any text you receive that is for an area you don't need.
Important!
During September, we'll send a text message out the day before each of our 18 satellite meetings. Each text will state at the bottom which location the text is intended for. If this is not a location you regularly attend, please reply "STOP". Sometimes we have multiple meetings in one day, and those texts had all gone out at the same time. It would have been impossible to unsubscribe to the correct one. For September and going forward, however, we are going to space them at least 15 minutes apart so you can unsubscribe to one text before the next text arrives.
Remember, texts are used for two reasons. First, they are a last minute reminder of information we already provided to you via email, meeting announcements, and social media. Second, they are an easy way for you to share news with a friend by simply forwarding the text.
