John, Being an effective mayor is not easy – and anyone who implies otherwise discounts the hard work of countless city officials around the country. Mayors run your city, implementing policies and procedures that ensure your everyday life runs smoothly. Mayors are also uniquely beholden to their constituents, answering questions in line at the grocery store, during family events or anytime Kathy and I ventured out in public. You lose a bit of your private life when you decide to become a public servant. But Mary and her family know the sacrifice is worth it. Now, Mary’s anniversary is this week, and while she and her partner Jodi celebrate, we want to send her the best gift you can give a candidate. Will you make a donation directly to Mary’s campaign to help celebrate her upcoming anniversary? Mary has been campaigning hard and by all accounts is in a good position to win this race. She’s attending candidate forums, debating the issues with her opponents – and winning! She’s been knocking on doors all around Baltimore, seeing a huge swell in voter support. She’s doing a fantastic job, but the road ahead is tough. Mary is a great State Senator for Baltimore, and she’ll be an even better mayor. Mary’s anniversary (and primary!) are this Friday, and any amount you can give will help her win. Help celebrate Mary’s anniversary with a direct donation to her campaign today! Thanks again for your support, Mayor Annise Parker President & CEO, LGBTQ Victory Fund |
