We send a number of fundraising emails—especially before some of these deadlines—so we thought it important to take a moment to explain why these messages are so critical to our campaign.

Here is the truth:

So far this year, the overwhelming majority of the money Tammy's campaign raises comes from lots and lots of people contributing what they can, when they can.

We’re very proud of that fact, and of this team. You should be too.

But what you may not know is that the response to emails like this is the single greatest source of those donations.

What that response means is Tammy can spend less time fundraising, and more time working on the issues and campaigns you care about.

So with control of the House and Senate on the line, with the White House at stake, with so many important issues up for debate every donation frees up just a little bit more time for Tammy on all of those things.

You don't have to donate to every email we send, that's the last thing Tammy or anyone would expect. But we hope, with our August fundraising deadline just a few days away, that you'll give to this one:

Can Tammy count on you to contribute $5, or whatever you can afford today, to her Senate campaign? It's not even about the amount, but the number of people chipping in to help us reach our goals.
