 John,
Today marks the 60th anniversary of the March on Washington, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his incredible “I Have A Dream'' speech. But decades later, the fight for racial equality is far from over:
First: The Voting Rights Act of 1965 was signed into law to protect voting rights for American citizens regardless of their race and background.
Then: The Supreme Court dealt a massive blow to the Voting Rights Act in 2013, opening the door to OUTRAGEOUS restrictive voting laws.
NOW: Republicans across the country are introducing hundreds of bills to restrict voting rights, disproportionately harming voters of color, and we need Democrats everywhere to join the fight AGAIN to protect this sacred right! But we don't have your signature on file, and we need 25,000 signatures before midnight to show the leaders of the movement that we stand firm with them in their fight!
John, click here to add your name and join the fight to SUPPORT voting rights! >>
Thank you,
Team DSCC |
