Who will Oklahoma MAGA politicians target next?

I'm running for Congress in Oklahoma's 1st District to stop MAGA politicians from targeting our teachers. They want them silenced. And they want them gone.

Oklahoma MAGA State Superintendent Ryan Walters signaled his intent when he removed the photographs of Oklahoma's Hall-of-Fame teachers from Oklahoma's Department of Education. Then he targeted public school teacher Summer Boismier. He said her teacher certification should be revoked because she had a liberal agenda. Then he targeted Superintendent Deborah Gist and threatened Tulsa Public Schools' accreditation unless she was removed. Ms. Boismier and Superintendent Gist spoke up when Walters attacked. He wanted them silenced. He wanted them gone. He got his wish.

Our campaign is about stopping the targeting of our teachers by MAGAs like Ryan Walters. We won't let them destroy public education. We'll work to ensure public education is fully funded, teachers fairly paid, and teacher shortages addressed. Most importantly, we'll stop the politicizing of public education and start solving the real issues impacting student achievement. That includes stopping MAGA Rep. Kevin Hern's Republican Study Committee Budget Plan to block grant federal education funds and his privatization efforts.

Public education is a fundamental institution in a strong democracy. Teachers are holding our schools together. For that reason, we'll always have their backs.

I'm running for Congress because Oklahomans deserve great public schools and teachers deserve respect. I want Oklahoma's public schools to be leading the way - not tagging along at the end. I want teachers with strong voices who are moving forward - not teachers who are always looking over their shoulders and afraid to speak up. Together we can stop MAGA Ryan Walters and MAGA Kevin Hern from destroying our public schools.
