Dear John!

Sixty years ago today, 250,000 people marched on Washington to demand civil rights and to move our nation closer to fulfilling its promise of equal rights for all.

When I founded VoteRiders in 2012, I named it as a tribute to the Freedom Riders, the brave young people who traveled South during the civil rights movement and put their lives on the line for the cause of civil rights.

Today, our work advances the legacy of those who fought so hard for voting rights. At VoteRiders, we believe no eligible voter should ever be turned away at the polls because they lack an accepted ID, or stay home due to confusion about whether they need an ID. Our work lowers barriers to voting, especially for Black voters and other voters who are more likely to lack a current form of photo ID.

Now, on this auspicious anniversary and leading up to 2024 elections that could prove critical to the health of our democracy, I urge you to take the VoteRiders pledge:
