As I write, our attorneys are finalizing a new lawsuit on behalf of a teacher in Northern California who was fired because she would not deceive parents whose children may be struggling with their gender. And she could not in good conscience speak the lies that the school was mandating.
PJI represents many teachers, bus drivers, and students with similar cases.
Friends, this is not just happening in liberal strongholds like California or New York anymore. Speech is being silenced, livelihoods are being lost, and the woke agenda is running rampant even in conservative states and small towns. It’s happening in Texas. It’s on the prowl in Florida. It’s raging in Tennessee.
The threats of the radical, far left extremists cannot be ignored anymore, no matter where you and your family live.
This is why, in 1997 when I was offered a prestigious opportunity to leave California and move to Virginia to continue working with a prominent conservative organization, I felt God leading me to stay in California and fight. I took a huge leap of faith, launching Pacific Justice Institute because I knew the evil and madness in San Francisco, Sacramento, and Los Angeles would not stay there. I knew this was the frontlines for a battle that would engulf the nation.
And that is why, over the last several years, we have taken our frontline experience and deployed it from Seattle to Miami, from Honolulu to Boston.
And we’ve seen our strategy paying off in huge ways. In Florida, our attorney effectively fought for parents to gain access to what is hiding in school libraries. In Texas, our attorneys fought for school board members who found themselves silenced by woke politicians and educrats. In New Jersey, where the Attorney General is attempting to crush a school board that is being more open and honest, our attorney is intervening on behalf of the parents.

Meanwhile, back in California, we are advising countless parents who are alarmed by pornographic materials in school libraries. We’ve recently endorsed a major effort to encourage school boards to adopt parent-friendly policies. And we’re advocating for you in the legislatures, where scheming politicians try to suppress parents’ voices at the local level.
Never before in my years of ministry have I seen so many threats to our children and grandchildren, or to the fundamental rights of parents, teachers, and citizens. Advocating for our kids has always been at the very heart of why my wife and I were led to launch PJI.
We can’t fight today’s battles with yesterday’s resources. We continue to be the most efficient and cost-effective nonprofit of our kind, delivering victory after victory on a fraction of the resources of larger organizations. And we are compelled to steadily increase our budget to meet the growing needs.
