Hi friend,
Earlier this week, I told you that our campaign is not about George
Santos.
Today I want to tell you what it is about, starting with how we are going
to put families and small businesses first by investing in the people who
make our district great.
Here is what I support:
* Funding job training for growing industries like Tech and Clean Energy
so New Yorkers can play a vital role in the workplace of the future.
* Raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour because a hard day’s work
deserves a fair paycheck.
* Expanding tax credits for families caring for young children and
seniors so they can focus more on their loved ones and worry less
about their bottom line.
My entire career has been built on the belief that when we identify
potential and give people the tools they need to succeed, the results are
astounding.
At Student Voice, we were able to mobilize thousands of young students to
fight for change in their schools and turn classroom discussions into
nationwide movements.
When I founded The Next 50 and gave future leaders the resources to run
their own campaigns, they saw an incredible success rate of 80%!
Our economy works better when the government puts people first – not giant
corporations and special interest groups.
If our communities have the proper resources, there is no limit to what we
can achieve.
With gratitude,
Zak Malamed
