Team, Wednesday night was the first GOP presidential debate — and to no one’s surprise, it was a race to see who could be the most extreme.

Instead of talking about good-paying jobs, making healthcare more affordable, or protecting Social Security, the candidates took turns describing how they would defund the Department of Education, attack our hardworking teachers, and weaken our public schools.
