Listen: The last thing I want to be is “the Congressman who cried wolf.”

That’s why I always keep it real with you. I don’t spin all kinds of fables about 8,000% matches and zillion-dollar fundraising goals (if you’ve ever read a fundraising email from the disgraced ex-President, you know exactly what I’m talking about).

So in the spirit of honesty, I’m not going to tell you that your donation will single-handedly restore American democracy or elect a Democratic House majority.
