You heard that the Florida Department of Education had approved a "history" curriculum that said Black people benefited from slavery because it "taught them useful skills." Now, they have approved the use of PragerU Kids videos in elementary school classrooms to teach social studies and American history.

PragerU is not an accredited university, and does not offer degrees. Founded by right-wing radio talk show host Dennis Prager, it claims to provide "pro-American videos for every age" to challenge the "woke agenda infiltrating classrooms."

As New York Times columnist Charles Blow explained: "PragerU is no more a university than Trump University was." It is right-wing indoctrination of our kids in action.

With these short videos, Florida kids will be taught that Frederick Douglass believed slavery was a necessary compromise to form a more perfect union, and that Christopher Columbus was justified in his treatment of Native Americans when he landed. That is white supremacy propaganda, plain and simple.
