Earlier this month, I took to social media to share my thoughts on the pressing matter of climate change, and how environmental disasters and extreme weather events are becoming more and more frequent. Emphasizing that the failure of governments to curb carbon emissions, is causing the world to experience record high temperatures, more extreme weather events, and an unprecedented number of climate disasters. This issue is becoming apparent now more than ever, with the recent event that unfolded — Hurricane Hilary.
As a candidate representing California's 34th Congressional District, I remain committed to championing these crucial environmental concerns and advocating for a sustainable future that safeguards our communities and neighborhoods. Los Angeles residents, including District 34, are highly vulnerable to extreme heat and weather, wildfires, drought, and sea level rise because our leaders have failed to listen to the science and take bold climate action. Hurricane Hilary should serve as a wake-up call that the time for change is now. We need representatives in Congress who are willing to stand up to the oil and gas lobby — ones who are not financed by the very same corporations who are destroying our planet. I have never taken a dime from fossil fuel companies, and I never will. 🌍💙
That is why we need YOUR help and support. Join me in this critical mission by becoming a monthly recurring donor of $34 to our campaign. By pledging your support, you're contributing to a movement driven ONLY by grassroots power and fueled by the passion of individuals who are determined to change the outcome of our future.
