John, in just
five days, our campaign will reach our August end-of-month fundraising
deadline for this FEC reporting period.

I am eager to move this campaign forward. My team and I have been on the
road, sharing our positive vision for California and our country, and the
steps we can take in the U.S. Senate to bring real progress. In a state as
big and populous as California, that takes a lot of resources.

Just this week, I’ve been to Los Angeles and San Diego, Calexico and
Imperial Beach, San Francisco, Ventura and Santa Barbara, to Santa Ynez
and San Luis Obispo, to Santa Cruz and Monterey, to Pacifica and Half Moon
Bay, to Los Gatos and San Jose. All of this travel is vital to
understanding the challenges facing all Californians and what I can do to
help. But it isn’t cheap, and I need your help to keep reaching out.

And we will also need the resources to continue countering the Republican
attacks against me, particularly those from Donald Trump and GOP House
Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

Doing both — reaching voters and responding to the constant MAGA attacks —
requires an all-hands-on-deck effort.
