Dear Friend of Defenders,
You see it all around you: the wild animals we hold so dear are under attack.
Too many of the animals we love are suffering - but we’re not going to let their distress go unanswered any longer.
World Wildlife Day is next week, and it’s time for action.
As a worldwide crisis threatens upwards of a million species with extinction in the coming decades, I’m asking you to please mark this occasion by stepping up to save the wildlife you love.
This is the reality that we’re fighting against:
Exhausted, emaciated polar bears leaving their young unattended and swimming for days with no food in sight.
Endangered wolves maimed by leg traps in New Mexico, losing entire limbs and even their lives.
A mother orca pushing the body of her dead calf as she struggles to keep it afloat for weeks on a tour of grief.
We can’t look away and ignore their suffering. They need our help now more than ever! Without us, who will save these animals?
It’s up to us to protect these species on the brink of extinction… NOW!
Will you join us in our all-out effort to save wildlife in danger?
Friend of Defenders, your donation saves wildlife in real and important ways. When you pitch in to help Defenders of Wildlife, you’re joining field biologists, legal experts, scientists, policy advocates, grassroots educators and many of your neighbors in keeping the wild alive in our world.
Join me in making this World Wildlife Day a turning point for the wildlife we love.
Are you with me?
Sincerely,

P.S.: Because the crisis for wildlife is so dire, we need to raise $50,000 to power life-saving conservation efforts. Every dollar you give brings us closer to that critical goal – will you pitch in $15 or more to save wildlife right now, while the need is so great?
