Here are the facts, friend.
- Atrazine is a hormone-disrupting pesticide so powerful it can turn male frogs into female frogs with viable eggs! In humans, atrazine has also been linked to cancer, shorter pregnancy and hormone disruption.
- The EU banned atrazine almost 50 years ago, but the U.S. still allows more than 70 million pounds of atrazine to be dumped on American farmland each year.
- EWG analysis revealed that more than 44 million Americans may be drinking tap water contaminated with atrazine. But the EPA has done nothing to protect our health.
We have a chance to force the EPA to step up and take action on atrazine! More than 28,085 supporters have already added their name to EWG’s petition calling on the EPA to BAN atrazine, but I don’t see your name. Take a look:
EMAIL: [email protected] |
Action Status: Not yet taken |
Deadline: March 1, 11:59 p.m. |
ADD YOUR NAME: Tell the EPA: BAN hormone-disrupting atrazine! |
If you’ve saved your information with FastAction, clicking the link above will automatically add your name to our petition! |
The EPA is asking to hear from the public, but we have to submit our petition before the EPA’s March 1 deadline.
We know it’s going to take a huge tidal wave of grassroots support to force the EPA to listen to average Americans instead of the pesticide industry. That’s why we’ve set an aggressive goal of collecting more than 50,000 signatures in just two weeks.
It’s going to be close, but if everyone reading this email took action, we’d hit our goal today!
Thanks for standing with us, friend.
