I'll never forget the day Donald Trump was elected in 2016. Our country took an unimaginable turn, but I knew it wasn't the time to sit back and hope for change -- we needed to be the change.
That’s why I founded Women for American Values and Ethics (WAVE) -- a woman-led, grassroots organization dedicated to advancing our shared ideals.
What started as just 21 women in my living room grew into a force several thousand strong across Orange County. Our organizing efforts played a key role in flipping four Orange County congressional seats from red to blue in 2018.

But John, things have changed since 2018.
National Republicans believe 2024 is their best chance to re-establish the "Orange Curtain" in our community.
A GOP resurgence should concern everyone. In recent years, the OC community we hoped would become a model for change instead saw a spike in extremism, anti-Asian and antisemitic racism, and homophobic policies at the local level. With Republicans in control of Congress, we've seen horrific attacks on our fundamental rights -- including our right to choose.
We can't squander this chance to keep CA-47 blue. We need a Democratic candidate with the right experience and who can defeat the OC GOP nominee and who will also protect and defend our shared values. That's why I stepped up to run.
The good news is that we've proven what we can accomplish when thousands of us step up and demand change. I'm confident we can win, but I’m counting on YOUR support to fuel this effort.
