Cheers, John! I wanted to make sure I caught you up on where
our campaign stands before you log off for the day—and maybe even grab a
beer for yourself after a busy week!

You all know how much I hate asking for money, but this is serious:
According to my team, we need a surge of donations to reach our August
end-of-month fundraising goal before next week.

to chip in just $5—the price of a beer (a Montana beer, folks, not one of
those $12 DC beers), to help us reach our fundraising goal?

Our August fundraising goal is critical to making sure we have the
strongest fundraising numbers possible in our public FEC report we file at
the end of the quarter.

Hitting this deadline also allows us to respond to incoming attacks from
national Republicans and Mitch McConnell, who are determined to buy
Montana’s Senate seat because they know that if they win in Montana,
there’s almost no chance that Democrats hold the Senate majority.

The point is, we’re building a grassroots campaign that’s stronger than
any of the Republicans' dark money groups. But that takes resources, and
if we want to get ahead, I need you to chip in so we hit our end-of-month
fundraising goal.
