Friend,
Former President Donald Trump’s mugshot is now being widely circulated on the internet after he turned himself in related to his fourth, and most recent indictment. Trump and 18 of his allies were indicted in Fulton County, Georgia, on 41 counts in connection with their efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in the state.
Earlier this month, Data for Progress released polling following the news of Trump’s third indictment and found that a majority of voters agree with the decision to indict the former president for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results. And it seems that trend is continuing with a majority of voters continuing to think these indictments are appropriate:
However, 75% of Republicans disapprove of the grand jury’s decision which is consistent with our previous polling on the number of Republicans who disapproved of the third indictment and think the charges are politically motivated to attack Trump.
As we look toward the upcoming presidential election, polling on Trump’s indictments and favorability is more pressing than ever. Your contributions help us continue rushing polling into the field to take voters' temperatures on Trump’s indictments as we move closer to 2024. Please rush a contribution today and support this critical work!
