It’s Women’s Equality Day, John!
We think the best way you can celebrate is to
ELECT MORE BLACK WOMEN TO OFFICE!
If there is one thing we know: Uplifting women’s voices — especially Black women voices — means uplifting all voices.
So today, a day meant to remember when women were granted the right to vote,
we’re launching our ELECT MORE BLACK WOMAN FUND!!
While the right to vote was indeed granted to all women 103 years ago — it’s so important to remember that the path to victory was nowhere equal for Black women — who were frequently left out of the suffrage movement.
And remember, John, even when the right to vote was granted in 1920 — it was still another FORTY-FIVE years until we passed the Voting Rights Act of 1965!
And now — with ZERO Black women in the Senate and a Supreme Court who thinks racial discrimination is a thing of the past — we continue to lose ground. The best way to make it up is to elect more Black women to office up and down the ballot.
2024 may seem like a long way away but if we’re going to have the resources we need to send more Black women to office — we have to start now!! Will you donate to our *BRAND NEW* ELECT BLACK WOMEN FUND today?
If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be processed immediately.
