Israel continues to face real and growing threats. Below are incidents from just the past 30 days.
Aug 21, 2023 – A 40-year-old Israeli mother of three was killed in a Palestinian shooting attack while driving in the south Hebron hills — with her 12-year-old daughter in the car during the attack.
Aug 19, 2023 – An Israeli father and son were killed in a terror shooting inside a carwash. Medics carried out resuscitation efforts on the pair after they were hit by gunfire but were unable to revive either victim.
Aug 8, 2023 - Israeli security services arrested Palestinian terrorists in the West Bank that were part of a terror cell planning shooting attacks. The group was directed by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) based in Lebanon.
Aug 6, 2023 - Israeli forces stopped a Palestinian terror cell outside of Jenin that was on its way to carry out another attack.
Aug 5, 2023 – A Palestinian terrorist from Jenin shot and killed Chen Amir, a 42-year-old Israeli husband and father of three, in downtown Tel Aviv. The gunman was a member of Palestinian Islamic Jihad from Jenin.
Aug 2, 2023 - An Israeli family miraculously escaped serious harm when terrorists blocked their car and opened fire on them.
Aug 1, 2023 - Six Israelis were shot and wounded, one of them seriously, when a Palestinian terrorist opened fire at a group of people outside a shopping mall.
Jul 30, 2023 - PA President Mahmoud Abbas held a "unity" meeting with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who urged the PA to exploit a “window of opportunity” by jointly attacking and weakening the Jewish state.
Jul 27, 2023 - A group calling itself the Al-Ayyash Battalion (named for a notorious Hamas bombmaker) attempted to launch a rocket from the Jenin area at the Israeli town of Ram-On.
This is the reality Israelis are forced to confront. Our work together is critical to ensure that Congress is educated and engaged about the issues affecting Israel’s safety.
