Launching my campaign has been a whirlwind of activity, y’all —

From the outpouring of support from community leaders, to endorsements from progressive organizations like DAGA, to working with like-minded folks on the campaign trail, I have never felt this uplifted in my entire career.

And what’s made it all the more meaningful is meeting folks like you, who share our vision for a better, more equitable Louisiana.

I entered this race because like so many of the people who support my campaign, this fight is personal to me. I didn’t grow up with much, but my mama and my daddy did what they could to make ends meet for me and my five younger siblings. They taught me the value of hard work, and lit a fire in me to fight for others, especially disadvantaged community members.

I know what it’s like to defy the odds. And with so much energy around our campaign, I want to make sure the odds of success in October are in our favor. That’s why, right now, your support couldn’t be more important.
