Learn more about what my office has been up to this week Dear john, This week provided several wonderful opportunities to connect with our community and spend time having important conversations about the things that matter most to you. I was truly honored to have so many discussions with residents in our district, but if I missed out on connecting with you, here are some things I want to share from the week: Celebrating One Year of the Inflation Reduction Act To celebrate the one-year anniversary of this historic legislation, I was proud to welcome the Protect Our Care nationwide bus tour to our district to talk about the impact this law is making on people's health care costs. It was an honor to have two constituents, Mutima Jackson-Anderson and Errol Anderson, join me to share their health care stories! To read more about this event, click here. Pictured above: Rep. Empowering Our Small Business Community On Tuesday, I convened leaders from the Small Business Administration, the UGA Small Business Development Center, the Gwinnett Entrepreneur Center, and ACE Women's Business Development Center to address dozens of small business owners in our community about the many federal and local resources that are available to them. Small business is the backbone of our economy, and I will continue to champion opportunities for entrepreneurs when I return to Washington in September. Pictured above: Rep. Joining me were experts from the Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Federal Trade Commission, and AARP. Thousands of residents joined us for the call, and I want to thank all of you who took the time to engage with my office. Thank you for taking the time to read this update. It is my honor to serve our community in Congress. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch with my office.
