Next week: must-win runoffs in Mississippi
Mark your calendars: next Tuesday is runoff day in Mississippi! Everything (including LGBTQ+ history!) is on the line for Spotlight candidate Fabian Nelson, running for the Mississippi state legislature, and Justin Lofton, running for the Pike County Board of Supervisors.

They’re playing the hits: anti-trans mailers against Danica Roem
Spotlight candidate Danica Roem has faced anti-trans opponents before. In fact, she’s already defeated three of them: in 2017, 2019 and again in 2021. Her latest opponent, Bill Woolf, is a chip of the anti-trans block. He’s campaigning with anti-LGBTQ Governor Glenn Youngkin and proudly touts his endorsement. He’s promoting the QAnon movie of the summer, Sound of Freedom. And now, he’s sending out mailers that peddle anti-trans myths.
We know Danica can beat this bigot too - but she needs our help. Learn more about how you can support her campaign today!
